When an older adult you love is in need of help, you want only the very best. You need someone who is trained and skilled in senior care, but who also is compassionate, kind, and caring – like family.
Our core belief at Rent-A-Daughter is that every person, throughout every season of life, is deserving of love and respect. Since 1985, we have had the privilege of embodying that belief by helping older adults to live their lives to the fullest. Celebrating each of life’s seasons, we are committed to providing caring hands for aging hearts.
Locally owned and with a strong reputation of honesty, integrity, and experience, we’re so much more than just a caregiving company. We’re family.
Rent-A-Daughter, LLC exists to honor the dignity and serve the needs of the aging population and their families by providing loving and compassionate care. Our desire is to care for our clients as we would want to be cared for, and to do this with honesty and integrity.
In addition, Rent-A-Daughter endeavors to recognize and care for the needs of our caregivers. We strive to encourage and support their uniqueness as they care for those that we serve.
Our Core Values
At Rent-A-Daughter, or RAD as we often refer to ourselves, we take a RADical approach to non-medical home care. Our values are at the root of all of our actions and keep us grounded, guiding us in serving God and His people in every interaction with every person we meet:
Caring is the foundation upon which our agency was built.
Helga Willett established Rent-A-Daughter in 1985 and led the company until her retirement in 2001, when Rob and Jean Henke took ownership.
Wisconsin locals Rob and Jean Henke both have a heart for helping older adults live safer, more comfortable, and enriching lives in the comfort of home. They’re pleased to carry on the Rent-A-Daughter tradition of providing exceptional care for seniors established decades ago, and hiring only those who share that same level of dedication and passion.
Rob developed a love for elder care when working as CEO/CFO in a continuing care retirement facility for many years. It was during those years that he began to learn about the balance between wise business decisions and compassionate care, and that people were what really mattered.
Jean, a CPA, also worked in the financial arena until making the decision to stay at home and raise their four children. She then joined Rob at Rent-A-Daughter in 2004, bringing her nurturing nature, warmth and kindness. She loves investing herself in each member of the Rent-A-Daughter family, from caregivers to office staff, learning their stories and discovering the reason God has led them here.
Rob has dedicated much of his professional life to maintaining the dignity and quality of life that seniors desire. Together he and Jean strive to promote and sustain this mission: to ensure that every senior is treated with the respect and love he or she deserves, and that the caregiving staff feels supported and encouraged as they care for their clients.
In their spare time, Rob and Jean stay active: running, swimming, and biking. They are also avid cribbage players and have an ongoing competition with each other. They love escaping to their home in Door County, WI to enjoy each other’s company and spending time with their children and grandchildren.
We know it requires a great deal of trust to invite a caregiver into your home. At Rent-A-Daughter, we work hard to earn and maintain that trust by hiring only those we would welcome into our own home and share in the RAD mission. We run thorough background and screening checks, and then provide appropriate, ongoing training to ensure each caregiver’s skills are sharp and up to date.
Most importantly, we know that our dedicated caregivers are the very heart and soul of Rent-A-Daughter, and we strive to care for them with the same level of respect and compassion that we provide to our clients. As our caregivers are cared for, they are able to provide the superior level of service that RAD is known for.
